Thursday Blog

Thursday - Come up with a real world problem that incorporates divisibility, prime factorization and GCF and LCM. Comment on each others and try and work it out ... don't post the answer until Friday.

Wednesday Blog

Wednesday - Take one of your models, strategies, etc. from the Whole number multiplication and division section and post it and tell why you picked this one and then comment on someone elses.

Tuesday Blog

Tuesday - Take one of your models, strategies, etc. from the Whole number addition and subtraction section and post it and tell why you picked this one and then comment on someone elses.

Monday Blog

Monday - Choose a specific type of problem from the Problem Solving section and make one of your own based on your style. Think in terms of a concept map. Incorporate things like definitons, geography, etc.

Example - #3 on page 18

Cookies are sold singly or in packages of two or six. How many ways can you buy a dozen cookies?

Materials - Actual cookies
Technology - SMART Board, videos, blogs, etc.
Definitions - singly and dozen
Strategies - table, direct reasoning, etc.
And anything else you can bring into the learning ernvironment
